Pathcare Nigeria is the first ISO accredited (ISO 15189) medical laboratory in West Africa. It is committed to providing fast, accurate and reliable results by adhering to strict quality assurance programs and constantly monitoring its operations.
Pathcare Nigeria was established in response to the increasing demand for a wider range of diagnostic tests that give accurate and reliable results. With our modern, computerised state-of-the-art laboratory, and a team of highly trained and dedicated professionals, PathCare has significantly reduced the need for Nigerians to travel abroad to gain access to accurate testing.

Pathcare Nigeria commenced operations from its Central Laboratory in Lagos, in October 2004 with the objective of making a positive impact on the health of Nigerians by providing pathology services of an international standard. It has since opened laboratories in Abuja and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). Other branches include depots in Ikeja, Festac, Ibadan, Port Harcourt and Kaduna with plans for continued growth and expansion across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones.
Pathcare Nigeria works in collaboration with Pathcare South Africa, a leading pathology services group in South Africa. Pathcare South Africa has over 150 laboratories in South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, Dubai and the UK with 70 pathologists specializing in every aspect of pathology. All Pathcare laboratories are accredited according to the International Standards Organization (ISO) 15189 standard.
Pathcare Nigeria is linked in real time via secure servers to Pathcare SA through the MEDITECH computerized laboratory software and is able to fully utilize all Pathcare SA facilities worldwide. We also give our doctors immediate access to test results through our secure online results delivery system called PathProvider. Every service is offered with the aim of giving all our clients the best quality service with minimal turn-around time.
With our international backup from Pathcare SA, Pathcare Nigeria offers access to over 3000 laboratory tests, from the basic to the most complex, hitherto found only in developed countries. This includes metabolic and genetic studies, immunocytochemistry and electron microscopy.
