PathCare Nigeria is the first ISO accredited (ISO 15189) medical laboratory in West Africa. The Laboratory provides fast and accurate results to a wide range of medical tests thereby assisting with the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of medical conditions.
PathCare Nigeria commenced operations in Lagos, Nigeria in October 2004 with the objective of improving the health of the nation by providing pathology services of an international standard. It has since opened a depot in Post Harcourt, Rivers State and intends to widen its reach to other parts of the country in the near future. PathCare Nigeria is committed to providing fast, accurate and reliable results by adhering to strict quality assurance programs and constantly monitoring its operations.
PathCare Nigeria was established in collaboration with PathCare International, a leading pathology services provider. PathCare International has over 150 Laboratories in South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, Dubai and the UK with over 70 pathologists specialising in every aspect of pathology.
PathCare Nigeria is linked in real time via secure servers to PathCare South Africa through the MEDITECH computerised laboratory software allowing us to fully utilise all PathCare South Africa’s facilities.
Our intention is to be widely known for the quality of our service by everyone who has need for medical laboratory tests whether they be hospitals, doctors, companies or individuals. That way, we hope to achieve our goal of improving health in Nigeria - one test at a time.
PathCare Nigeria follows standard operating procedures designed to ensure that its results are accurate, reproducible and of consistently superior quality. In our laboratory which is fully computerised and contains state-of-the art technology, highly trained staff perform daily calibration of its equipment, run multiple controls and engage in constant monitoring and control of the temperature and conditions of its reagents. Additionally the laboratory is enrolled in International External Quality Control schemes.
